Just beat VT and Duke and the coastal is locked up finally.. Thomas is leading the ACC in turnovers and has 8 in the last 2 games smh. VT has their worst offense ever under Beamer. We have to win this game or Golden will be doubted by alot of fans and media. This is the first time i can say we should win the coastal out right this season. We can beat Duke and VT without Duke Johnson. The season comes down to these 2 games..

It's not about Golden or even about team emotions. It's about matchups. VT is not a good matchup for our team. They play great defense and have a quarterback who has run all over us in the past. On top of that we are dealing with our first full game without Duke and a field goal kicker in a miserable slump. This in a game that field goals may be very important.
Season ticket holder since 1985 and I bleed orange and green. But am not blind to the fact that the intangibles are not in our favor today. Despite playing very badly often this year, VT can win the Coastal by just winning today.
Hope most of those who post here, especially the ones that are quick to criticize, will be at the stadium today supporting our team.
Don't let a little rain or even a lot of rain stop you!!
A team effort and only a team effort will win this one.

VT has given us trouble going back to Big East days. What I remember is that they were the one team that didn't quit when they played us. We would get frustrated because we had trouble folding them up. I don't think we are the same type of team anymore. We are the one that doesn't quit now. This is not FSU. VT is not superior to us with better players. I worry about us being flat, but I am hoping Al has handled that. Even if we are and the game is close, we have won all our close games. I think Morris has the big game it looks like he needs today. His throws were better against FSU--not all but most. Clearly, he us still hurting, but he has to have one good game this year, right?

I've been pretty fair and neutral on D'Onofrio since day one but if he does not dial up some (i.e., many) blitzes today I am going to be disgusted with him.
