Video: Richt and Diaz after practice (ND Week)

Couldn't agree more. Spot on. And Travis is doing a great job on special teams, which suggests he's not afraid of contact. I think he has one ST tackle for each game we've played.

Reporter - "Any thought to giving Gus or Travis more looks?"
Richt - "No, I' think we've got the right backs in there"

That's not good.

Dont matter who they put in when the o-line aint blocking ****.

Yearby does better than Waltons behind the same exact OL. So it does matter who they put in there.

Yearby should be the main back. Walton runs hard and has speed but 0 vision.

I'm really curious to see Homer get some work. Gus is a 235lb back who runs like he's 135.

I hate that stereotype of Gus. Yes, at times he doesn't lower his pad level. Yes, at times he does more dancing than he should. But a majority of the time he's bringing more power & speed to his runs than either Walton or Yearby.

Give me some video evidence of Gus actually running someone over or pushing the pile in short yardage.

Show me, because I haven't seen it.

GT Game

1:46:48 - Drives thru the defender, gets 2-3 yds after contact
1:48:22 - Drives thru the pile, gets 2-3 yards after contact, knocks their DL #54 on his ***

If that's your impression of a power back I'll just end the conversation because it's just not worth my time.

You only hear **** like "you get judged on beating Notre Dame" when you can't beat FSU and Virginia Tech

Did he not run #54 over? Was he running like he's 135?

I'm not hyping Gus up to be some unstoppable power back, but is he more powerful than Walton or Yearby? Yes he is, and it's not close

Do you prefer Walton, who 2 plays later on the same drive stops in the open field and gets into the fetal position before getting hit?

*&^%$^&(*(&^%%

*&^%$%&*&^%^&

Why. Why.

the backs are the least of our concerns

I suppose that's true on the surface - but what I took away from this comment is "we're not going to change what we're doing" - which means that Walton will continue to see more carries than Yearby - which is a problem.
