Yeah because our defense has been so gifted after the first month. We probably would lose to both at this point. We won’t curb stomp Wake and 100% could lose to Syracuse. So calm the F down when we have issues of our own.

With two weeks until Early Signing Day, here is the latest on the recruiting trail:

- I've been talking about six "battleground recruits" that will make or break this finish. Expand the list to seven- Miami is in the mix for WR Dallas Wilson (Oregon commit).

- The Canes continue to position themselves to flip LB TJ Alford (Vero Beach) from Ohio State.

- A week ago, it looked like Ohio State was in a good position to retain DT Jarquez Carter (Newberry). Miami has made up significant ground there and is a real threat to flip.

- There is a growing belief that ATH DJ...

I have just been enjoying the season like the rest of us so I've kept quiet but we didn't capitalize on this season near as well as we should have if we laid better groundwork in March-June. And there's no doubt the little guy trumped me on several kids that wanted to be Canes and would have us as a top 5-7 class.

If we weren't 9-1 that certainly would warrant more attention. Maybe it will get rehashed after the season, but I'm certainly not a fan.

this is true, I was on him (pause). But he had his hands tied with the HC not being a closer, maybe it would work out now? But I would prefer someone else if we had that spot open again. I think part of it is you have to chase the recruit and that to me is the tough part of recruiting.
