It was luck in that they happened to get on him late after tying ourselves to Sh1tkowski for way too long. The fact that there was still someone available into Oct/Nov that was pretty open and was good was fortuitous. Let's not pretend that this was the plan all along.

How is it luck that we had a relationship with the kid for a long time before everything went sideways with Sit. I know people hate Jon Richt, but give the dude credit where credit is due. Go and listen to Matt Doughtery on the 5 rings podcast about the recruitment of Jarren. Jon Richt deserves all the credit and was instrumental to landing Jarren. It wasn't luck it was a great job.

Wasnt it well known, that the '18 skill guys all played in the same 7v7 team and when Sit decommitted, the boys went after JW and begged the coaches?
If someone can find an article that be sweet, but I think the team recruited him not so much Jon.
