Van Dyke having a great senior season

Love that Van Dyke is going to by an early enrollee. Could very easily be the backup next year.

I have nothing but respect for Rick but that Jarren Williams/Jon Rick story doesn't exactly add up- especially how it's centered around Sitkowski choosing Rutgers over Miami. The whole thing sounds like a dad trying to put his son's name back out there and tying him to a rising stock in Jarren.

A great season would be putting up more numbers than that but he’s been Pretty solid for sure. Will say he’s thoroughly outperforming our previous #1 qb target in Carson beck who has been a disaster this season. Beck has been terrible looking like mark richts nephew’s season last year

Beck dropped off. He picked UGA over UiF and hasn’t looked good since, starting with The Opening, IIRC.

I think it's a good spin job by Richts. Let's be honest, we were very close to getting stuck with a guy who most of us knew was going to be a huge bust. Yet he was our guy for WAAAY too long. The fact that we landed JWill was luck, imo.

You don’t land a top qb prospect who committed to another school by luck.

It was luck in that they happened to get on him late after tying ourselves to Sh1tkowski for way too long. The fact that there was still someone available into Oct/Nov that was pretty open and was good was fortuitous. Let's not pretend that this was the plan all along.

Wow pretty surprising that beck is playing bad. He was dicing em up in Orlando at the states game. I was there and was impressed

Uga brought another QB recruit to the ND game, not sure if they always wanted to bring in 2 QBs but they are definitely looking around.

I like Van Dyke, but let's not get ahead of ourselves with jumping to #2. I expect N'kosi to be #2 and perhaps put up a fight in the Spring with JW.

He was committed and we flipped him, also it doesn't matter if it was the plan all along or not. Things happened, plans changed, we got an upgrade.

Feel like perry going to be gone after this year. Ain’t nobody trying to stick around and be a back up where he can start at another d1 school
I don't think he transfers. The reason is he'll have to sit out a year and he has already redshirted. So, he'd have only 1 year of eligibility remaining if he transfers. His best move is to continue to get better under Enos. Challenge Jarren in the Spring. Get his degree in 2020. Become a grad transfer in 2021. If Perry continues to improve, he can be a starter at another P5 school in 2021.

yes. There is a lot of talk on their board about bringing in a 2nd qb this cycle. Not sure if it will be a young guy or if they will wait and see what the grad transfer market is. They are going hard after Caleb Williams for 2021
