You'd have to be the biggest, naive, Golden/D'Onofrio booger-eater to think that we don't have coaching issues. We are a team of under-achievers. We have guys out of position everywhere. We're asking players to do stuff that they physically can't do.
How can somebody NOT understand that different schemes and different principles can make inferior players excel and look better? The things we're asking some of our guys to do actually make them look worse.
Do we lack talent in certain spots? Sure. So why put those inferior players in positions and predicaments that require more talent? (i.e. 2-gapping)
Do we have an idiot at QB? Sure. So why give that idiot a bunch of difficult throws? How 'bout a simple 6 yard "stick" route near the Linebackers? How 'bout a **** slant route? Maybe a slant/bubble concept?
McDermott can't execute a simple down-block. Hasn't been able to all year. So why are we running "power" with him in the game and expecting him to down-block?
And speaking of "power"...when Bunche pulls he hits NOBODY. Hasn't executed a pull all season. So let's take out our best pulling lineman, Feliciano, and replace him with Bunche and pull him on "power".
Let's use Gus Edwards near the goal-line despite the fact that Crawford is clearly our toughest runner.
Let's run WR screen to the boundary on 3rd down. LOL
This is embarrassing football on all level.
