Would the ACC be considered a 3rd Power Conference if the ACC were able to add:
Notre Dame
Oregon
Washington
Arizona/Arizona State
Colorado
Stanford
That would leave the Big Ten with one option for expanding into the Florida market. Us. And from what I understand, they bring in more money with each new market they are in. Which would imo make us a lock to joinDid anybody see Brett McMurphy‘s article where he said the SEC is looking to potentially expand by adding four ACC teams? He saying that they’re targeting FSU, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia. I guess the SEC would see more value getting the North Carolina market, the Virginia market, instead of going after Miami. This would be very concerning and would potentially leave us hoping that we could get picked up by the big 10.
If this scenario plays out then the ACC would have limited options even if it meant somehow combining with the rest of the PAC 10 and the big 12. There wouldn’t be many elite football teams left to merge with.
At this point we're just making up "media markets" then. UVag isn't the DC market (that's Maryland) and the Richmond type markets are actually smaller than the Ft. Myers/Naples one here that we don't even really acknowledge.Did anybody see Brett McMurphy‘s article where he said the SEC is looking to potentially expand by adding four ACC teams? The ACC is done. It all depends on who goes where. Also the SEC is making a huge mistake if they allow the BIG to get Miami, which is where we would end up. The BIG could add Oregon and cover all 4 corners of the country. SEC has been way more successful on the field yet they are neck and neck in revenue. The BIG has a far bigger reach, if they get into FL, huge in alot of ways. Btw I prefer us going to the Big, I don't care about all this cultural stuff people talk about, we have played teams like BC, VT, Pitt etc in cold weather for years. We would stick out like sore thumb in a good way by having just insane speed now that we have Mario. I see us dominating that conference if we go there. The SEC is a cartel, I just feel they would ***** us every chance.Did anybody see Brett McMurphy‘s article where he said the SEC is looking to potentially expand by adding four ACC teams? To be honest, we already ARE their one option for expansion into this state. The only question is if they'd bring FSU with us the way SC brought UCLA to preserve the rivalry and take ALL of the LA market. That would leave the Big Ten with one option for expanding into the Florida market. Us. And from what I understand, they bring in more money with each new market they are in. Which would imo make us a lock to join
After ND we are the biggest chance of expansion for the BIG, they would snap our hand off to shake on it. Maybe even as a package deal with ND with our history. Imagine playing them ***s every year? Lol.I’m afraid the SEC won’t take us. I really think we bring more value than FSU but I get this feeling they’d rather leave us out as to help their current members poach south Florida talent. Miami in takes away the “you don’t want to go to Miami as they don’t play in the SEC” narrative.
I do think (and hope) the Big Ten will possibly take Miami as to get into Florida (south Florida none-the-less). But I’m in no way very confident on that.
That article by McMurphy was speculative and filled with qualifiers like “maybe“, “likely”, and “could”. At this point in time, these writers know nothing. I don’t think ESPN would see much value in adding Virginia to the SEC.Did anybody see Brett McMurphy‘s article where he said the SEC is looking to potentially expand by adding four ACC teams? While I don't think that notion of not taking us so they can destroy us will still carry enough weight in the godforsaken SEC, I also think it'd be a completely idiotic maneuver if they truly believe their strategy.I’m afraid the SEC won’t take us. Not taking us a big problem for the SEC and great opportunity for the BIG. The BIG likely gets ND with their national appeal and us who have a different national appeal, spending money to rebuild the brand and the program. I could see us surpassing all those SEC schools, just even from a scheduling standpoint of all the areas of the countrywe get to visit. Plus those other BIG schools get guaranteed games in Miami. Gamble for the SEC. They could shut off the south east by taking us FSU and Clemson and some other bum from the ACC.While I don't think that notion of not taking us so they can destroy us will still carry enough weight in the godforsaken SEC, I also think it'd be a completely idiotic maneuver if they truly believe their strategy.
They'd have to really believe the B1G wouldn't take us for this idea to truly work. That both conferences would ignore this media market and our national allure because they want to kill us, we're not an AAU school or they just reallllllly love the power of the Raleigh and Petersburg, VA media markets.
What happens if the SEC gambles wrong here? All of a sudden a B1G member Miami has even MOAR money (money they're already blaming for us now winning recruiting battles against them) AND by their logic they've just invited Michigan, SC, Pedo State, likely Notre Dame, etc ALL into this state even moar than they are to compete with OSU that's already been here a while.
The sec and the B1G would 100 percent take Miami. Miami is currently one of the three hot chicks left in the bar.
FSU looking more and more like the former 7 that desperately misses her ex but won't admit it...has three drinks, gets blackout, chain-smokes outside the bar at 12:30 am like clockwork, and made the Freshman-15 look like child's play. There’s prob a couple more than that but ND is a ****tease and never goes home with anybody.

Paul Finebaum thinks the SEC grabs Miami. The BIG10 and Miami makes the most sense. The only thing the SEC and Miami have in common is the both reside in the south.
The same guy that said our AD search and Coach search was a “ **** show”. I’ll trust my Miami sources info over that idiots every day of the week and twice on Sunday.McMurphy was fed that info by an F$U source.
I won't go into it here, but I'd bet that two of those four schools are incorrect.
