Update on transfer QBs

Martell has moxy like Mayfield. He’ll have to learn quite a bit under Enos because he’s never been under center. But he can zip it for having such a small frame. His scrambling is elite though the kid has speed.
Who says he'd be under center? Do we know that with Enos?

Cam Newton was one year behind Tebow. In 06 Tebows freshman year, it was Leaks team. Tebow basically ran wild cat in the redzone. Cam came in the next year.

Wow, you're really going to stand behind this one. See if you can see the difference:

Cam didn't beat out Tebow, who the following season led the nation in passing efficiency, threw for 3300 yards and ran for another 900, scored FIFTY FIVE touchdowns and topped it off by winning the Heisman.

Jarren didn't beat out Rosier, who barely completed half his passes and had more INTs (8) than TDs (6).

You're trying to compare the guy who came in second to Usain Bolt in the 100 to a dude who lost a race to a one legged geriatric.

We went from probably the worst qb situation we've ever seen as Cane fans to getting potentially 2 stud qbs while still trying to flip a recruit and having Jarren with tons of potential himself so we can have a loaded qb room so no matter what we win in a big way

I think you're confusing the years my friend.

The last stop of him as an OC ran a lot under center. So I’d assume there will at least be some of that with us. But he has stated that he adjusts to his personel so time will tell

I think he ran more of what bielama wanted to run at Arkansas regardless they had a great passing attack in 2015 and a good one in 2016

Why?Not saying Jarren is Cam. Just saying you cant base how someones career is gonna shape out after one season. Freshman Cam Newton didn't beat out Tebow. Did that mean Cam Newton wouldnt become great? Who would you rather have Cam or Tebow?
Reality is, Cam beat himself out. Stayed in doghouse.in Gayturdville. We will never know if it had been even comp. That being said, it's worked out well for both those guys.

Martell is a STUD and probably a better pure passer than Hurts. I would much rather get two years of Martell than one year of Hurts—and the added bonus of continuing to build the Bishop Gorman pipeline is nice, as well.

Thats exactly my point. Who knows what Jarren will be. He had his issues as well last year.

Another plus for Martell is the bloodlines. Aside from the lockout season, Martell's father, Eddie Martell, was a badass QB for Washington Sentinels

Sounds about right. Matches up with that other article I read Monday. And Canesshades laughed at me when I say Hurts would probably go to OU. They somehow think we are getting both but that's not how things work around here lol.
