Update on Lorenzo Lingard

Look, we all know how this goes, so I'm not going all in yet, but this kid did say Miami was his top school back in July right after Paradise camp was over & it should be noted Richt has actually recruited Lingard since he was in 8th grade when Richt was at UGA.

Idk if we'll win this battle, but I **** sure feel like it can be done. Whoever on this board is close to this kid better get the job done!

the kid's not a lock by any means, and may end up elsewhere, but we have as good a shot, if not the best shot out of any other individual school. kid's not playing games. has a great head on his shoulders & a good family support system. i have no idea why he's attracting so many butthurt posts. but its counterproductive. i realize miami fans suffer from battered fan syndrome, but its not a good look.

Yeah, I'm confused as to why everyone is already expecting a circuis recruitment. Is it simply because he's ranked so highly? Believe it or not, not every top recruit plays games. Lingard seems like a fairly level-headed kid from everything I have read.

Now, that isn't to say I think he ends up here. I have no idea, but it does seem we have a legit shot as LCE said. We'll see.
 
Put Richt and Amy Deem in a locked room with him and don't let him leave until he's convinced.

I hope he commits now to us. Why don't I see other teams having ft his problem with early commits?

Miami is on the rise.
Miami is home.
Miami is RBU.
Walton will be in the NFL next year.
Miami ***** on Clemson's NFL RB's.
Miami needs RB's desperately (early playing time).
Miami's running game will improve drastically with the OL.
CMR has sent many RB's to the NFL and makes it a priority to establish a good running game.

It really is a no brainer.

I don't care when he commits, just as long as it's us & he sticks with it.

Also, we need to hope & pray this kid can be an EE... If it gets pushed out all the way until NSD we probably won't get him, but if he can be an EE that increases our chances.

Yo, get this kid in Orange and Green. Get significant touches day 1 with Walton leaving, 3-4 years later he'll be in the NFL. Probably first round if he's as good as everyone says. Easy decision. Oh and win a Natty in the process.

I think there was an episode of The First 48 where they held a kid that long. We might as well try. He'll either sign with us or admit to a double murder in Memphis.
