Maybe if the entrance tradition was enticing enough, more people would make it there earlier to be apart of it.
I know you’re joking. But they could put fire eating strippers riding around on tigers and 90% of the crowd would still be in the parking lot tailgating when the team comes out of the tunnel

“The Smoke” is iconic and attempted to be copied by many. “The Smoke” should never be replaced.

It's funny you say this because my crew that I go to the games with said the exact same thing when they got back from Gainesville about the Swamp. They said it was terrible. 🤷‍♂️
Yeah I don’t understand those comments. It doesn’t have Living room seats like hard rock or a club liv but it oozes tradition and anyone that goes to a game there will undoubtedly say “that’s a stadium for the Florida Gators”. Tradition tradition tradition is what that stadium has for all of its flaws..just like the Old Lady had. Something we don’t have a single morsel of at HRS.

If you take down the ring of honor and remove the U at mid field no one would have a single clue that the university of Miami has played their games there for coming up on 20 years.

Max Verstappen (F1 multiple world champion) has more tradition at HRS than the miami hurricanes do …

I'm just telling you what a group of 30 Cane fans that have been season ticket holders for the U since the late 70's told me. They said that stadium was a dump and had no life to it. 🤷‍♂️

All of us are thrilled it had no life that day because we whooped their ***!!

But to comment that one of the most iconic stadiums in the sport is lifeless (as a general statement) is just wild.

Well if I went I could tell you how I feel but I guess it's just hear say. They said they've heard Hard Rock way louder. In fact there were a ton of people that said it wasn't as loud as they thought it would be.

I’m in total agreement with you/them… for HRS being lifeless for a canes fans the acoustics are absolutely elite! When we pack that place it gets ridiculously loud.

Nah… it’s just the parts where there’s no actual football being played that are iffy.

But.. they built that stadium to hold in the noise, and to absolutely melt the visiting team in the sun (the home half of the stadium is always in the shade).

If UM ever again gives the larger community a reason to go there on Saturday, Hard Rock will be one of the most difficult places to play in the nation.

This is on point. The place was deafening during the 2 game stretch vs Notre Dame and V Tech in 2017. It rivals the noise level that occurred in the OB during our biggest games. When Bandy housed that interception I thought that the place was gonna topple over!

* Cut the lights to the stadium.

* Have the storm warning alarm start blaring over the loudspeakers.

BEEEEP BEEEEEP BEEEEEP

BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

"A HURRICANE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.

AN EXTREMELY DEADLY CATEGORY 5 HURRICANE IS EXPECTED TO MAKE LANDFALL at xx:xx (kickoff) WITH WINDS UP TO 200 MPH.

...IT IS TOO LATE TO EVACUATE."

* Flash Orange and Green neon lights on a heartbeart pattern

boom-boom

boom-boom

boom-boom

* Start the long screech of an air-raid siren

* Turn the upward flame effects on down on the field

* Crowds screaming at this point.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE MIIIIIIAMIIIII HURRICAAAAAAAANESSSSS"

* SHOOT THE SMOKE (There's neon lights set up to make the smoke look orange and green, OR use orange and green smoke.

* As half the team is through the smoke start fading the lights back on.

Colorado disagrees.

I don’t care for the fire either. I prefer the simple “smoke” entrance.

Maybe if there were more than 10,000 people in the stadium for the entrance, they’d put more effort into it.
this. everyone is still in the lots. most of the fans dont ever see the entrance
