He's better than Gaynor. Look we need big powerful bodies on the inside. A battle between Olu, Donaldson, Scaife and Rivers would set up nice at guard. Seymore, Jai Clark and Gaynor at center. Nelson LT and Walker RT(?) or Campbell.

Clark - is hurt and transfer 2022 candidate
Olu - is depth player at best in 2021 and gone after that
Reed - will be Gaynor's replacement and should start over Gaynor if he can get the calls and playbook.
Scaife - is best at Right Tackle not OG.
Rivers - will be a star at OG
Walker - has all the ability in the world, but needs to get his head right, until then only God knows how things will work out for him.
Seymore - is a future monster at OG/OC
Campbell - is quality depth player at LT in 2021 and will start in 2022.

So they fixed Campbell's feet?

I think this is a clear sign that Jakai Clark might have to redshirt. Without him, we have 3 playable interior OL and no depth. Reed hasn’t played, Traore doesn’t appear to be good enough and we don’t need to have to run year 1 guys like Rodriguez and Seymore out there.

This guy is probably the interior backup in 21 and, if he’s as good as Justice thinks, he can start in 22. Helps fill the hole of the Herbert/Hillery mess.

agree with on gaynor, just not strong enough to get any kind of push upfront

Justice thinks more of him than the posters here. If we used a blue shirt on this kid you can bet this is for more than “ depth“. At the very least he’s a rotational guy at g and c.

After watching film I'd say the guy's a little nasty. Maybe a heavier Scaife with requisite strength would be a comp. Made calls along the line effectively, so the mental appears to be there. From his grades it's evident he's improved incrementally, leaping year-to-year in pass pro. Seems to have the work ethic, and a culture shift is needed - especially with the FL o-linemen on the roster.

Yeah, how his skill set translates to the ACC, and shifting inside (lots of film at T) are questions. But after watching film the take is growing on me.

What has Cleveland Reed done to be handed a starting job? Honestly, where does that even come from? Not only is he a portal bounce back, he legit looks like a kid that just made varsity in comparison to the rest of the room.
