As he should. These offers are blessings and no kid has a right to one. Richt is new and wants kids to fight for it if they want it so badly. Kids in the past would bs for support but not anymore. Every position is up for grabsso you go all out to get one

The commit list a month ago will look different in a few months....a number of guys wont be there....lots more shuffling left to do

I think that might indicate it's something off the field why the local schools haven't offered.
It would make sense the state schools would know more about that than the out of state schools.
Just a guess.

Listen, i want Bandy here as bad as you but if the staff doesnt want him. Move on. I trust Richt Evauls so if he doesnt want him then it is what it is.

And your feeling to not trust him is because of your depth and breadth of experience as a successful D1 head/position coach or recruiter?

Not criticizing, but can you explain your position?

I want Bandy as well, but you don't need Ced Wright 5'9 Malek Young maybe 5'10 and Bandy at around 5'8 all in the same backfield at a power 5 school, especially with the height and length of WR's these days.

Last time I spoke to Merritt about Bandy he had nothing but the utmost praise for him. Maybe something has changed since then but other than that it could possibly be that the state schools are going after taller corners.

When all 3 Florida schools don't offer, it's usually a red flag. The out of state programs will always offer "high profile" Florida kids because they like the publicity of stealing top talent, which only helps them real in other out of state kids. They also know it helps build relationships with the coaches and give them an in with the friends of the kids they get.

I want to watch more tape on Bandy before i formalize a true opinion. What i saw on limited tape thus far was a very physical, smart corner but one who consistenly plays off coverage to keep everything in front of him b/c he lacks top end speed. The QB talent in the tape i watched was awful too.....which only hinders the eval.

When 3 of the 4 teams in the playoffs offer a kid, its a sign the kid is a national type recruit. Keep in mind it's February before his senior year, he could end up with offers from all 3 in time.
 
Very good zone corner with heart of a lion in run support. Nice player, but i don't know if this is the kid you stick on an island. He's a smaller, more physical version of TH3 in my opinion. Will be a nice player for someone.

Listen i know Bandy personally, i watch him practice and i know what type of work ethic he has. Bandy is a Monster, the only problem is SIZE. Geo pointed this out to me a couple of days ago. Cedrick Wright is 5'9 & Malek Young is 5'9 two players in the secondary that are under 5'10. The Miami staff is looking for more size in the secondary, that's why you see guys like Latavious Brini from Mater Academy receive an offer because he's 6'2. Bandy might be better then Brini but it's all about size.

Erick....what type of speed/burst does Bandy have? It's tough to see on film and i never trust 40 times listed on sites unless it was a Nike event with lasers. Hudl listed 4.57
 
I don't understand how grown men who's only knowledge is through watching highlight films and maybe watching a few games, question a professional who has been doing this successfully for 15 years, making statements like "I don't trust his judgment if he doesn't offer this kid, blah blah blah". Is this real life?

There are a lot we don't know that goes into the decision to offer a scholarship. Much more than a great game film and or great production in HS. Do we know our chance of getting him of we offer? Maybe Richt doesn't want to offer without getting a feel for the kid's interest. Maybe he doesn't want to be seen offering kids that he knows for sure will end up choosing a rival school. Maybe he has his own criteria that some fans won't agree with but it's his system he is recruiting for, his team and it's his criteria. Not the criteria of some recruiting service or some fans.
