Many of these kids that declare early already have their degrees. Colleges have these kids in school all year round. Bridgewater has his degree, as well as Feliciano from our team. Many of these people declaring early have had redshirt years.

Also, regardless if they make it in the pros many of these kids come back and finish their degrees for free during the offseason. BW is finishing up at the U right now. Plus he made minimum wage in the NFL for the last two years. I can't argue with that.

Some of these College coaches are biased in wanting these kids to stay because it helps them keep there job or get a raise. They are just as bad as the agents sometimes.

Until we have players leaving early and getting drafted in the first 2 rounds we ain't winning anything no matter who the coach is.

It really is a simple as that, though.

It'll be bad for us next year when we lose Duke.

If we lose Duke then maybe we'll restart out NFL pipeline again. Don't think Duke would bolt unless he was a 1st/2nd evaluation

If you're an nfl caliber rb I say go early if you're in the first 5 rounds, other positions should probably stay if they aren't in the top 3.

Rb' shave such a short shelf life that they need to make their money while they can.

It's a win-win for the prospects... Every college has a program where a former athlete can return to complete their degree for free... It's up to the players to do so... That being said, even the practice squad players make 6 figures so with your degree and an NFL minimum the player is doing fine... A lot of these are just as bad as the agents... It comes down to doing what is best for you...
