Problem is, there is little interest in Miami football in those areas. It might help to raise some interest in the program, but it seems I remember them trying this recently without much success.

Right right which is what I'm saying. I wasn't clear though.

Other schools like Bama FSU UF Tenn couldn't afford to not have one big spring game on campus because it would get all the recruits there at one time in front of their on campus stadiums and awesome fan bases. For us, this makes a sh*t ton of sense getting on the road and coming to the recruits and connecting with the local communities. Home run for us. I like it more than having a spring game at HRS

They should go to Lakeland or Ft Myres. If they do a scrimmage there they will kill it on the west coast!
 
This is a really good thing in my opinion instead of having just one weekend where fans and recruits can see the team now we can spread it out over multiple events.

You hate for recruit to miss the Spring game because they have a previous commitment this gives them multiple opportunities to come see the team

So much ****** in this post. If you want to kill it on the west coast you go to a city on the west coast like Tampa. Lakeland is more like central Florida. Plus it's a small town. Makes zero sense. If you want central Florida you go to in or around Orlando.

Gators are dumb as fūck, aren't they?

Yep they sho is... Who cares about north, central, sfl? Go where the recruits are! Secondly, recruiting is not about big city or small town. You need to recruit these ares where you have missed the top two DT's the last cycle which is the halfway point in those rule areas where each year you consistently get whooped like Whooping Cane!!!

There were serious issues with the turf this year. Especially for Dolphins games. Saw it myself when the Pats came here on January 1. Field looked like a mosh pit. It's just a hypothesis but it isn't a far-fetched one imo. When you consider how much it rains here in September - November there's little reason for us to have natural grass imo.

I think the stadium won't be available because of the construction that is being done to the entire 200 level. They probably don't want anyone at the stadium.

With all the excitement surrounding the team, expectations for season and recruiting, I was looking forward to whooping it up at the Spring Game. I also think recruits like coming to the game and being around the team and seeing the process.

That said, by having a practice in Broward, Dade and PB counties, this would allow greater exposure in our money hole areas. Plus would allow the team to invite the local youth leagues and give them t-shirts with "Future Cane" or something for the kids. We have to re-establish The U as SoFl's team.

While the view may be better, some of the most anticipated improvements are still a year out. After the coming season, Phase 2 of the privately funded project will begin. That’s when the shade canopy goes up and the scoreboards are replaced. Forgive my ignorance, I don't live in the area, but is more work being done on the Rock? Why is it unavailable? I thought all the upgrades were done with last year's work.
