No minus after this. Please. Just enjoy this incredible moment without nitpicking everything to death. At the very least, take 24 hours before you break out your chemistry sets and start hyper-criticizing the performance.
'Chise, my friend, this is probably the best post you've had to date. I always love reading what you have to say about our 'Canes, mostly because you take such a strong anti-******ry stance, but this takes the cake for me.
You're 100% correct. This is truly a special moment in recent 'Canes history, and we really need to savor it without looking back on the bad moments, like too many 'Canes fans have the tendency to do. Let's just ride the wave right now, because I think this was our biggest win in a decade, and we need to appreciate how great it really was.
UM fans have conditioned themselves to be overly-analytical mopey nerds always looking for something to nitpick. It's part of the reason our stadium is usually so dead. People are always waiting for the negative. Hopefully, the will be a turning point for our fans too, and they'll embrace the notion of being rabid homers who are relentlessly positive about the program instead of being a bunch of scientists.
Sure, talk about the games and chop it up, but try just giving UM the benefit of the doubt instead of always trying to be so fcking detached and negative about everything cotadam thing. For instance, look at the Coach D situation. Instead of giving him the benefit of the doubt and realizing the insanely ****** cards he was dealt last year with personnel and youth, UM fans seemed to get joy out of trashing him unmercifully.
Now, he's ****ing in their mouths, and we'll see if they dig their heels in to keep their self-annointed position of football expert, or if they'll realize that they might have rushed to be the first genius to say he sucks and now they feel like they have to stick with that.
