UM Vs VT game thread 29-32 half

Well, we played pretty poorly, and we're only down 3. I'll take it.

Strong finish to the half, minus that last possession. VT can't keep making everything, I hope.

VT keep shootin
Assert dominance inside


If VT isnt missing free throws this is a tough one to come back from at the half. Canes are a 2nd half team and Coach L will have an answer.

don't look now, but Duke and WF are tied at 63 with 440 to go. Would be huge if WF won and we win. 3 game lead in the ACC

I don't think it is because they missed foul shots we're back in this game. Give them 4 more points and we're down 7, the problem is they are not getting those shot attempts (in fact we're playing defense on them).

The pace slowed (mostly because of fouling) and our boys tightened up.

I assume they won't hit 54% of their shots and 50% from 3Pt land the rest of the way, we're in good shape even if they make those 4 foul shots because we disrupted their offense the last 5 minutes.
 
We forced them into a number of bad turnovers and blocked a few, so it's not like we weren't playing hard out there. Sometimes you run into a buzzsaw, and that's what happened for about 15 minutes of that first half. Just keep playing the same tenacious D and they will eventually wilt.

Of course not, but I think we should continue to take it down low (whether driving or posting up).
 
Hopefully we can wear them down. I think they only have 7 scholarship players.
