Guys, Gaines is good at filling the run, diagnosing a formation and going downhill.

He's not good at playing in space or running and chasing.

Our scheme consistently asks him to do the latter. It's my continued criticism of this defense; we ask players to conform to our system rather than scheming to their strengths.

Same old thing, rinse and repeat.
