I know kids with MAJOR MAJOR "OFFERS"..that i know right now will likely go to group of 5...but in their mind they still have these "OFFERS". These kids dont get it...if we drop Smith right now he likely will end up at best at a UCF.

It seems to be standard procedure by coaches to ghost kids instead of just being blunt about them not being good enough. Do they get less bad PR by doing this? I feel like it would be better to be straight up with the kids but there's obviously a reason they don't do it (or doesn't get reported at least). Maybe it keeps the door open just in case?
