Dropping him is an idiotic idea. Either don’t offer him in the first place or offer him and ride with him.The kid has an important trait that you want in defensive linemen - attitude. But as you've said, we need to see him healthy. Hopefully he can shirt his first year to get his body right. But for those that are saying to drop the kid, you don't drop a kid with potential, especially if they come from a pipeline school like St. Thomas Aquinas.
He’s a developmental DT with a big potential upside. Anyone expecting him to contribute much the first couple years is a dope. This kid should live in the weight room and at the nutrition table for two years. And spend a ton of time working on flexibility and core strength.
