UM announces Garin Justice to replace Barry as OL coach; Diaz comments

I just don’t get it. We have a Yugo engine (Manny, BJ), and part by part, were surrounding this engine with Porsche parts and accessories. Will it perform like a Porsche in the end? Wouldn’t it be cheaper and more expeditious to just retire this clunker to the junk yard, and spend the effort and money on buying Porsche to start with?

Its simply not possible to be worse at recruiting than Butch Barry. When he and Rumph go on recruiting trips together, they spend the entire time giggling and hot boxing the car with their farts.

Exactly what this program. New fresh blood, not recycled Miami guys or friends or nepotism. Young rising coaches with energy, not guys on the downswing with no resume.

Seems like an A hire on paper. I want more info like did *****in fire him or did he leave on his own? But this is the kind of hire I like to see on its face.

Good questions.
I think he left FAU to work for his old HC at Arizona, and a few weeks later he is looking for work because his
ole-ball coach got canned for off-field stuff.
If he was leaving a Pac-12 school for FAU on a lateral coaching assignment then, yeah, different story.

Somewhat surprising that Manny has been able to hire these two high caliber coaches. These guys are up and coming and are smart enough to pick good spots to keep their trajectory rising. They must see something that Manny is building that many do not. I expected a couple has been coaches to be hired. But I will say well done Manny. He continues to win in the offseasons. Let’s see if he can win when it counts now.

To be fair which you probably arent. Jalen Rivers loves Barry and was one of the main reasons why he chose Miami.

Bro, I like Rivers and hope he turns out to be as good as advertised, but I have serious doubts about Miami's ability to evaluate players given our track record.

Young energetic coach who has experience in most facets of the offense and has worked at a lot of different locations. Has been sucessful everywhere hes been, developing players. Like the hire, only question is can he recruit. Been at FAU & FSU,so he must know something about recruiting Florida. No mention of him coaching or knowing Lashlee from before.
