It was supposed to be "55 former all-americans".

Yeah, but which does more good for ALS? Dumping/$10 or just giving $100 outright? I think the more $$$ towards the cause, the better. I've been challenged, and I'm going to pass.
Impossible to waste water. There's this little thing called the water cycle. Google it.
You either dump and donate $10, or pass and donate $100. Dumping doesn't absolve you of donating, rather the amount you donate because of you being challenged.
Cute - but...55 former Hurricanes?
Even if you give $10, I don't see the need in the ice bucket stuff. I'd be happy if someone gave $5 and that's all they could afford.Yeah, but which does more good for ALS? $100 is a lot of money for some folk. That being said, whether $10 or 100, both are more than zero.
yesExcuse my ignorance, but did Randy Sr die from ALS?
i give EVERY year to ALS, since my friend lost his wife. This is bringing a TON of attention to a great cause. This is better than cash. The money will come. FWIW our president gave a 100$ instead of doing the challenge. Talk about worthless.. guess no one saw that? lol
Great Job by MY MIAMI HURRICANES!

Duke’s father, Randy Johnson Sr., died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in 2008 when Duke was 14. Observant Hurricanes fans will notice he recently added a “JR” to the back of his jersey.

I think too much emphasis is on the ice bucket portion of this...as I've seen videos where folks are just saying "I got challenged, and now I'm challenging these 3 people--you have 24 hours" without any mention whatsoever of a charitable contribution. Makes me think there's people doing it for the sake of doing it without giving...which is just a bastardization of the whole idea to raise ALS awareness.
well done! Go Canes!i give EVERY year to ALS, since my friend lost his wife. This is bringing a TON of attention to a great cause. This is better than cash. The money will come. FWIW our president gave a 100$ instead of doing the challenge. Talk about worthless.. guess no one saw that? lol
