UM Allotment of Seats for the Rustled Bowl

Their website says there's a shuttle that starts at amway. Anyone use this option before and how long should you be there to board?

yeap, knew where I was sitting and had the ticket less than an hour after they announced.
Same here except I waited on friends to see if anyone else wanted to go.

I got screwed for another 25 because after I bought my 2, my buddy and his wife said they wanted to sit next to us, so another transaction fee and such. We have 4 in 209 JJ (chose that row because no one behind us, that stadium sucks for leg room, so no knees in the back).
I ended up with 4 tickets also payed about $10 more per ticket because it took until 6 am Tuesday morning for my buddy to get back to me.

rushing to by any Miami Cane ticket is a lil foolish......place will have 55K for sure but slowly as prices drop, Louisville Travels well

On the UL board they think they'll outnumber us. One dip**** thinks we'll have less than 5,000 fans.

by the 25th...there will be $9 tickets

I'm not in any hurry at these prices, that's for sure. My Las Vegas years taught value and nothing has remotely qualified here.

If I have to show up and haggle I'll do it, armed with a knowledge of the sections I'll accept.

They will outnumber easily.....Miami Fans ( using that term loosely) is scared of this game, has us getting blown out etc....so our core FL travel fans will be there like 99% of you guys so my guess is 12-15K Miami 40-45K Louisville....They will all be in Sync wearing red where we will have white, Green , Orange or god forbid its cooler than 65 we will all be in HVY jackets.......I personally don't care and will be there with my Son and others from Fort myers watching is win our 10th game..

Well, for one, they're not going to have that many fans, at least not based on their predictions from their board. They think 15,000 with a max of 20,000, but a lot of posters think it will be less, with some thinking 10,000. I think we easily get 15,000, probably more. We had more than that for a regular season game at USF. We had like 30,000 last time we played in this bowl against Wisconsin. One side of the stadium was entirely Miami fans.

A UL insider just posted this Friday morning on another board...

Jennifer Heisey of the UofL Alumni Association just said on local radio that Louisville has sold over 8,000 tickets of its 12,000 allotment. She seemed confident that UofL would sell out its first allotment and ask for more.

Said there would be a impressive contingent of Louisville fans in Orlando. Also said that the RAB was doing some nice things to help Louisville fans watch a basketball game the same afternoon.

they are a loyal fan base, and Orlando is tons better than Louisville this time of year...

anybody know how the $82 tickets being sold through UM works? are they general admission or specific rows/seats and you will know what your row/seat numbers are when you get them?

They will be specific seats. But like others are saying, you have zero input into where your tickets are. If you go to Ticketmaster you will pay similar prices but you can choose your seats.

I know we haven't been to a bowl in a couple of years, but some of y'all are acting like you've never heard of bowl ticket allotments before. Miami's athletic department is doing nothing new here, and nothing that schools across the country aren't doing. Just like away games, Miami doesn't control the tickets, the bowl does. Miami is given a number of tickets in certain sections, and they allocate them after the orders are in.

Bought mine through the U. Yes I knew I could get better seats directly...but UM has to pay for any seats out of the 12,000 allotment that don't sell. So, I'm doing my part.

I can't go so I bought two tickets and asked Chris Freet to donate them to some students who needed tickets. He set up a drawing and a bunch of students signed up for the drawing. Kinda cool. Did my part, supported the team and two students get to go to the game so it's good. Sure wish I could go though. Someday...

Bravo!!!!!!! Nice

I talked to the UM ticket office yesterday and the person on the phone said that the price of the ticket is $77 through UM and if you went through the actual Russell Athletic Bowl site they were $45 and you got to pick your own seats.....

TIFWIW......

DID THE SAME.....TICKET OFFICE SAID THE GOLDEN CANES AND DONORS GET 1st SHOT AT THE SEATS BUT THEY WILL KNOW AND ASSIGN THE REMAINING *GENERAL ADMISSION* SEATS BY TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) AND WAS THEN TOLD SEASON TICKET HOLDERS WILL HAVE TO CALL TO FIND OUT WHERE THEY ARE SITTING....TOTAL BULL****

ON THE FLIP, I HAD ABOUT 10 FANS IN MY GROUP THAT PLANNED TO GO AND WE ALL WANTED TO SIT TOGETHER...THE TICKET OFFICE ALLOWED ME TO PURCHASE THE 2 ($77 EACH) TICKETS I PERSONALLY NEEDED UNDER MY ACCOUNT AND RESERVED THE REMAINING 8 (ALL 10 TOGETHER).....THAT WAY THE REST OF MY GROUP COULD CALL AT THEIR LEISURE AND PURCHASE THEIRS TICKETS .....
