Kirby plays the bag game well. As long as he keeps losing to Saban UGA will be fine. Put together a 2year win streak and Kirby Smart will get the "Freeze" and be sent to college football coaching scrap heap while UGA gets probation. Mark Emmert will be wiping Saban's kids off his chin with a smile on his face.

We can't. That's the irony of the whole situation - the SEC is playing by different rules than the rest of the country, ESPECIALLY Miami. We get sanctioned for rental cars, free dinners and a few drinks at the club.

Ole Miss literally had a player, during the NFL draft, admit on camera that he got paid by the staff at Ole Miss - it took the NCAA multiple years to investigate and then eventaully take away a handful of scholarships and a one-year bowl ban.

The only way any of these schools will get caught is if the federal government gets involved - tax fraud, illegal wire transfers, money laundering, etc. It is in the NCAA's best interest to just hide from the facts at this point because if the DOJ/FBI ever start investigating, the entire thing will fall apart and the NCAA will no longer exist.

Exactly. The SWC was hilarious about it because it was so transparent. This is different because the SEC is so self-righteous while being completely shielded by the powers that be.
 
My question: When is/will someone or some university (w/concrete & irrefutable proof) take this to court and challenge the NCAA? What's taking so long, since others in this thread claim that this has been going on since the 1970s? This needs to stop and there needs to be punitive and substantial punishment handed out!

They do and then the NCAA comes at them for every little thing. They had proof beyond reasonable doubt that Miss St., Ole Miss, and multiple other teams paid for the LB that caused the start of all of the Ole Miss stuff with Houston Nutt. They redacted the names of the other schools who admitted to paying the kid. Now they turn around and hit Ole Miss and then remove the sanctions a year later, and now watch in the next 2 years Miss St. will get smacked with something.

Facts, my g.

Why did SMU get busted? B/c they weren’t a traditional power and were ruffling the feathers from the proverbial “good ole boys club.” SC is another black sheep b/c they’re out West. We were NEVER supposed to do what we did and we rubbed a lot of ppl the wrong way, ESPECIALLY the NCAA (hence all these Miami rules.)

UK, Duke, UNC, Kansas gets free passes in CBB, and the entire SEC gets a pass in CFB. We can’t play the games they play; for Christ sake, we had a fake millionaire takes some kids on a yacht and a strip club they **** near tried to give us the D.P. Meanwhile in Tuscaloosa, kids coming from poverty are rolling up in tricked out challengers! FOH, man.

So Alabama, Georgia, OSU, USC, Oklahoma, etc. get away with it ad infinitum and nothing happens? This is beyond unacceptable and anti-competitive. There has to be something that gives here!

These guys are all protected because of their Saban ties. If the NCAA comes after Kirby, you think he isn’t going to turn around and spill the beans on Bama? Last thing the NCAA wants is for all of their cash cows in the SEC to go up in smoke. Ole Miss just being affiliated with the SEC got them off with a slap on the wrist.

I think it is funny that Bama loses to Clemson and everyone still treats them as if they won and rarely people scream bags about clemson on here....
