Because he’s feeling the pressure of the walls closing in & he knows their reign is about to collapse.

They’d be 2-2 right now if they had played any teams with real Offensive firepower, **** even UAB hung in there with them in the 1st half. But he’s just angling to create the classic SEC narrative spin for when the eventual loss happens this season.

Hype the rest of the conference, so when they do eventually lose he can still say they play in the toughest conference & that 1-loss isn’t that bad & shouldn’t knock them out of playoff contention.
