In light of Shemar visiting UGA this weekend, I took a look to see if there is anything about him on their board. There's nothing more since last week when Rusty said flat out he didn't expect Shemar in their class.

There was some other interesting topics, though. One was a recap of their roster currently. With all of the attrition in the past week due to draft declarations, transfers, eligibility running out, etc, their roster is still at 91 scholarship players. So there will be some jettisoning of players coming up, especially since they are still after some guys. They have 47 players on offense, 41 on defense and 3 special teams.

And they have a thread discussing Miami NIL .... A couple of comments were particularly funny: "We have been paying since before NIL. Why sign for 50K NIL when boosters are giving you 250k and you don't have to advertise." "You think we've been top 3 in recruiting because Kirby is a just a good recruiter?"

Most seem to acknowledge that Mario will make pulling so many kids out of So Fla a bit harder. "...Cristobal changes things for them. He is a very good recruiter . It's gonna be harder to take kids out of Sfl. From now on. With a billionaire forking out NIL deals it only makes it tougher.

Exactly. When will these QB’s learn development is key. I remember watching him specifically as a freshman at USC thinking he looks like a HSer playing in college. When Slovis took over he looked like he belonged.

Dude was 7-0 as Georgia’s starting QB including a NY6 bowl victory. He’ll always have that, I guess.

2007 LSU’s QB was Matt Flynn. Best player on defense was Glenn Dorsey. Losses to Kentucky and Arkansas.
I know the UGA QB wasn’t flashy and James Cook really doesn’t get talked about too much but their defense is absolutely dominant in a time where “good” defenses give up 30 points in games against good offenses.
