UGA Recruiting Rankings

Miami has never needed top classes to win and never will.

Never.

If we had a great QB and didn't have the killer injuries to our best players, we'd have won the title. No team in history has a mediocre QB and loses their best WR, RB, and TE and wins the title. Not Bama. Not UGA. Not Clemson. Walton, Richards, and Herndon are NFL players. If we had them against Clemson, we win that game. If we had a halfway decent QB, we blow out Bama and UGA.

You are way off.

The difference between us, Bama, Clemson and UGA is they could lose their top RB, TE and QB and plug in another 4-5 Star player at worst or an NFL caliber player

Clemson just had a 5 Star, 1# overall QB transfer. So did UGA with Eason. Bama benched their QB and brought in the #1 freshman QB from 2017.

They can do that at just about every position. We are not there yet.

Miami also hasn’t won’t in over 15 years. Times change. Now you do.

When Bama lost their LB corps to injury, they got *****slapped by Ole Miss. Remember that?

When Clemson lost their best QB, they got *****slapped by Syracuse. Remember that?

If Clemson lost their best RB, WR, and TE and had Rosier as their QB against us, we would have killed them. Same with Bama.

Forget the race thing. White or black Desean Watson I think affected Richt and made him a deciple of RPO. I personally think he has gone overboard. Maybe a year with Kaaya who is about as mobile as the Statue of Liberty had something to do with it. We now have a mobile qb who can't pass, next up is mobile QB who can pass but struggles above the shoulders. Williams and the Oregon kid fit the same mobility mode and hopefully one will be what CMR is looking for. Even Weldon fits that mode. Are we ever going to recruit a traditional Miami QB again? Don't tell me the games changing. Quarterbacks need to complete passes. That comes first. They only need mobility to extend plays in order to complete passes.

U need a running threat at QB in today’s game no matter how you look at it. Otherwise it’s 10 on 11 and in 2018 that’s just dumb. Obviously u need a QB to complete passes but he needs to be able to use his legs as well.

Kirby has opened up the booster network and learned how to cheat from Saban. If he can keep getting away with it, UGA will have great teams. On the other hand, if he screws up like Ole Miss it will come crashing down.

The black QBs thing is incredibly dumb. Kirby has taken 1 in 3 years. And Richt recruited Shockley and LeMay, not too mention the QBs when he was at FSU. To bring race into it is dumb, especially when Kirby is a racist as **** prick. (Ask your UGA friends the story from when Kirby found out one of his black teammates knocked up his sister).

Richt was never comfortable with the bag game, so Miami is a better fit for him and Kirby is a better fit for UGA. It's been a win for both
Playboy I was just giving you what they were saying, not giving it any validity yo it. Since I was there I wanted to get a pulse on their feelings about their team. Most like The U and and know they have to get speed from SoFl.

Isolated games over a period of several years doesn't change the fact their rosters are superior to ours because they've stockpiled talent year after year for far longer than we have.

Pointing out a loss or two while ignoring years of national championships and dominant wins by Clemson and Bama is a very myopic way of looking at things.

Went back to look at our class rankings since they were introduced back in 2002.

Our best class was 2003 which ranked 4th. This is during a time we were going to Championship games.

What has hurt us is the **** poor coaching and we’ve had several years w our classes ranked outside the top 12.

Richt just needs to keep our classes w/in the top 8, filled w great players. We don’t need a top 10 class just filled w bodies, like Golden’s 2012 class.

Rankings are sometimes inflated by the number of players taken in any given cycle. ****, a team could take 30 3* and probably be ranked in the top 20. We definitely need depth, but I'll take quality over quantity any day.

Uh, check Clemson's recruiting rankings then get back to me

Here is the problem with that...the only reason Clemson isn't ranked highly is their class sizes aren't on par with Bama and Ohio State. However, if you break their roster down to a point per player model (according to 247)...their roster competes with everyone outside of Alabama.

Exactly. Another example is randys 08 class which was just filled with bodies.

Our championships occurred before good recruiting ranking services existed. Too much exposure now for many future studs to go unnoticed. Completely different game now. We will not be good without consistent top 10 classes.

Yep it was only #1 because we took 32 players that class. Only 16 were 4 stars or better. Iirc we took 15 4+ stars this year with a much smaller class. Do that every year and we're going to be a top 5 team consistently.

Agreed. These recent classes have been the best classes we have had in a very long time. Just keep landing the best south Florida guys and we will be in the playoff in no time.

Not true. Insider and Rivals were going strong when we won our last title. Both were pretty **** good back in the day. The only missing service was 247.

You might need 800 5stars to win at Bama or Clemson. But not at Miami. The lists of kids outside the top 100 or even 200, the borderline 4 stars and 3 stars, from Florida that become elite college players for us and other schools is uncountable. Guys like RJ Mcintosh, Norton, Smith, Young, Jackson, Pinckney, Redwine, Bandy, McCloud, Harris, and Garvin and that's just one season on one team. Every single kid i listed was either a 3 star or a borderline 4 star, nowhere NEAR the accolades of those Broward dopes or Jorbe or anyone else like that.

Recruiting services are MUCH more accurate today then they where in 2001 and prior. Take a look at the top 5 stars from the 1999 draft class and compare it to the 5 stars from the 2014 class. There are WAY more NFL 1st round picks in the more recent classes.

Well it's immensely clear that recruiting services have changed, and evaluate far more players. For the last 12-14 years 5 stars are significantly more likely to be drafted than 4 stars, and 4 stars more than 3. Our classes have dropped, and we have sucked. So be ignorant to the facts if you want, but every team to win the ship in the last 10+ years has had at least a 50% blue chip ratio. List as many Canes you like as you want. We haven't won the ship. And a borderline 4 star is a 4 star.

The thing I hate most about this site is people like you who don't understand statistics at all. You're just going to keep giving me one 3 star player that made it, but discount that something like only 7% of 3 stars are drafted overall. Unless you can prove that South Florida 3 stars are statistically more likely to be drafted you're talking out of your ***. It's impossible to argue with people that can't comprehend math.
