He is correct. If there was a leader like Alonzo Highsmith and Melvin Bratton to start the trend then everyone else would follow.

It means some kids are programmed to follow and not lead.

That statement is true for every athletic program at Miami. South Florida, the State of Miami along with the State of Florida has more than enough talent for every athletic program at Miami to win conference championships and compete for NCAA championships on a yearly basis.

Part of the issue is with the kids have no state pride but part of the issue is our coaches are late at identifying talent and offering scholarships before schools outside of Florida. Recruiting is a full time job in itself and our coaches have to always be in contact with recruits.

For a team coming off a 7-6 record we've still got the #5 class. Seems like every year we've been average and every year we've still been ranked in the top 10 at the beginning.

I think you guys are being hard on S Florida kids. They keep giving this program a chance and we keep being average.

this! Said it in another thread, starting winning ******* games that matter and consistently and watch how much easier this whole recruiting thing gets. For the past 15 years, our best two year stretch is 19-7 and that was just with Richt in 2016 and 2017. During these 15 years, we've had exactly ONE 10 win season. That in itself speaks for itself.

Everybody knows this. That’s the reason the bidding starts upwards of 150k for the ones that will turn the tide, pun intended, while the NCAA does absolutely nothing but try to give Miami the death penalty for meals and drinks. It’s terrible how they play this one sided game vs the home team.. Clemson would be an after thought Bama as well.
