No complains about the rotation last night. Will be very interdasting to see how it changes moving forward vs the Gaytes
 
Jelani Hamilton plays the last couple series. I made note to watch him. He engages well along the line, uses his size well. He just plays really slow. Good decision in moving him to D tackle. I think he can ultimately be productive there. Agreed with LU, if we can spare him, a redshirt would do him well.


2511- he made the tackle but it wasnt a sack. QB got across the line of scrimmage.
 
I thought Chick played well too...he's not flashy but he held the point well and got solid pressure a couple times.

If he doesn't play a lot early in the season, I wouldn't mind if he grabbed a shirt. Of course, that'd mean that the late additions can be solid backups. The point would be for Jelani to grab the shirt he should have already received and fully grow into a DT.

Too late now unless he suffers a documented season-ending injury. I don't know how much UM would be willing to fudge that sort of thing given our current scrutiny from the ncaa.
 
Ufamba Kamalu made an impact immediately, i saw him putting pressure in the backfield a number of times... I thought all of the "new guys" were impressive even though they had to wait so long to join the team. Very excited about the d-line this year.


Also Jelani Hamilton was in there moving the line too.... i was impressed w/ what i saw from him when he played. Very aggressive and nasty as well.

umm no... I dont know about moore but I saw Hamilton in the backfield a couple times and pushing his man off the los.

Jelani Hamilton looked good when he was out there last night.
