Matt Cassel when with Chiefs has an appendectomy surgery on like a Tuesday and played that Sunday.

This won't be a factor unless something goes very wrong.

Pete Roussel ‏@coachingsearch 1m Florida OC Brent Pease. RT @CoachBrentPease Of course my quarterback's appendix would explode right before camp starts.

Driskell and Florida's offense is going to be better then it was last year.... and thats perfectly fine, i hope they are.

How else is Miami ever going to get respect????..... nobody gave a **** that we beat VT last year b/c they sucked. Miami needs all its top opponents to be the best they can be.

cant wait to here the announcers saying how brave he is for coming out and playing after having surgery a month before the season.

I don't know much about the appendix, but doesn't it 'explode' or 'burst' quite a while after significant pain?

Correct. An inflamed appendix is usually removed. A "burst" appendix, means that it was inflamed to the point of ulceration. There are many, many complications that can arise from an ulcerated appendix. The most immediate is sepsis, which he can actually die from. This is no joke.

Fans taken out of the stands and placed at QB right before the game have routinely lit us up lately, so don't think a bad QB with an appendictius can't look like a Heisman Contender against us.

Still great news, air should be illegal if any Gata breathes it.

it was a week and a half, but yeah there is a lot of variability as we saw with Porter last year.
