UF Expects to (and Does) Hire Corey Raymond

Feldman confirmed.

Crazy to think we were in the running. UF must've unloaded a huge deal for him.

Raymond wanted to coach all the DBs or at least have an associate head coach title in order to get paid more.. LSU gave that title to Frank Wilson and also hired Cook's to most likely coach one of the DB spots, so Raymond said peace
 
Brian Kelly is an idiot and they’re gonna hate him for this. Surprised the AD didn’t step in to stop this but whatever you paid the guy 10 mil. It suck’s cause that guy is lights out recruiting which is where it’ll hurt us potentially. Although I expect a bang-up recruiting staff with Mario. We don’t play them so won’t hurt there. Sucks for fspoo I guess lol.

Raymond had no intentions on leaving LSU, he left because Brian Kelly really didn’t want him because Kelly is a control freak & didn’t like the perception of Corey Raymond being an untouchable on his staff. Brian Kelly wants autonomous control & he wasn’t gonna have any coach on his staff that seemingly had more respect & power than he did, so he basically made him a sh*t offer that he had no choice but to turn down.

So, in order to save face in the state of Louisiana on the recruiting grounds BK had to go bring Frank Wilson back & name him the AHC/RB’s coach just so he could have some local Louisiana recruiters on staff in order to keep from losing them all to Bama, TAMU & UGA.

Corey Raymond has been offered jobs by Bama, UGA & TAMU over the years & has turned them all down, he was even offered the CB’s coach job by Sark & turned him down so Sark went & got Terry Joseph from Notre Dame.

Brian Kelly will try to bring Terry Joseph back to replace Raymond but his first cousin WR’s coach Mickey Joseph just left for Nebraska because he didn’t wanna be on Kelly’s staff, so we’ll see if Terry feels the same.

If he can’t get Terry Joseph back his best bet would be to go get LaMar Morgan from Vanderbilt, he’s a former Safety at ULL, coached at ULM, Houston & was on Napier staff’s at ULL for 2 years before he got hired at Vandy.

I figured that’s what transpired. Brian Kelly is not going to win over the players nor the fans there in Louisiana.

What's your prediction on Corey's impact on UF? Clearly, a different situation for him in multiple ways.

This is why when people said Brian Kelly was a bad "fit" at LSU they weren't just talking about him being a white guy from Massachusetts and a prick that had never coached south of Ohio.

Probably why Napier went hard after him. Would make sense that he wants to hit that area hard after coaching there.

it seems like they're keeping t rob and dvd. who knows though esp if the DC isn't okay with keeping them (tho I imagine a dc wouldn't have an issue with t rob)
