UF commit Shawn Davis reaches out to Miami

THIS is what we brought Richt in for. Stack that roster with SoFl studs and we beat most teams.

Hope we can pull this off, kid is the goods.

Ya'll know where I stand on this guy. Thought he'd be perfect for what we do. Probably mentioned his name countless times as a big miss.
 
Loved watched Dingle drag Davis to the ground by his dreads, back when Dingle was a 'Cane and Davis was signed, sealed, and delivered to the Gators. But I can get back down with Davis.

Any chance he visits the 20th and gets cleared by the NCAA by the 25th? Making him an EE?

So would anyone, but his ability was downplayed when he opted for the Gates. He's better than anyone we currently have committed in the secondary and just the truth. Some won't like hearing that, but now it appears we have a chance. He's a ball hawk back there and can deliver the pain as well.

My favorite player ever was Ed Reed and he reminds me a bit of him.

I disagree, most have not downplayed his ability whatsoever, actually many of us were ****ed that we missed on this kid...

I myself have stated numerous times on threads that he was the biggest miss we had in this class because he's the true FS we need in the secondary.

Each situation is different, sometimes Canes fans will trash a kid for not picking us, but in this case you won't find that very much with Davis, check the old threads most people on here really wanted him in this class & still do regardless of his Gaytor commit.

This isn't the same as it is with Harley, because Davis is actually worth all the drama.

Man O Man....McElTeeth is f*cking s*it up left and right. If not for being in that weak *** SEC east and Muschamp leaving his defense stocked he would be fired by now

I wasn't the biggest fan of him as a CB,but everyone seems to think his upside is through the roof at safety. We're desperate for db's so what the ****. Bring him to me

To be clear, I've only talked about him in the context of a Safety prospect.

Would be a gigantic addition to this class. Real deal at safety and a type I'm not sure we currently have on the roster.

Agreed. Not sure what he is talking about. This place loves to love the ones that get away while hating on what we have here.

If PMG pulls this off then we got a dude in PMG. PMG will show us what he's about THIS CLASS. If he's got that chicken grease he'll show it right away.
 
That's good to hear about Davis I was wondering if he was viewed through homer glasses like Gibson I remember when he was committed here people kept saying how underrated he was and how much of a stud and how he was wanted by bama and then after he decommits he looses pretty much all his skill and he's just a jag and a scrub

So good to hear Davis is the real deal
 
If someone told me ...trade Billy Gibson for Shawn Davis.? i wouldve said...where do i sign.

He has the speed and range we need for a FS prospect to go with our other safeties. He can run and has good ball coverage.

Make this happen please. I honestly wouldnt have put this out there right now either..Randy aint gonna let this go just like that
