UF commit Shawn Davis reaches out to Miami

How good is this kid??

Imo the best db UF has coming in. Can play cb or safety effectively.
He is a safety all the way. He could play CB but he looks a bit stiff for that position. Has the range though to play the center field position, something that has been a question with our current safety position commits. He would be huge cause he is exactly what we need after losing Rayshawn.

Davis would be the FS prospect with range and ball skills that this class and this secondary very much needed. I remember when we first started discussing all of the potential 2017 DB recruits last year that Davis was listed at viewed primarily as an elite CB. After watching his play it immediately became apparent to me that Davis and his skill set are much better suited to safety specifically FS. I thought he was gone to UF so this is a very exciting development as Davis would serve as an excellent compliment to Amari Carter in this class.

There's no way Broke could be Arn Anderson. That dude was 270 pounds of pure man.

Broke is a scrawny wanna be gangsta who wears ultra skinny jeans and likes to get his back blown out on weekends under the guise of a "poker game with the fellas".

Meant to upvote.

LOL at Herrera's infraction over good ole Double A. Spinebuster comin.

this kid would be a HUGE get!!!

his tape is incredible and i only see him getting better ... UF doesnt even deserve this kid and i think he knows it... if this is what Cooney is gonna do then IM ALL FOR IT!!!

GO CANES!!!

OMFG WE NEED THIS KID!!!

So basically we have 9 days to convince him to be an early enrollee.

Talk about a longshot.

Thanks Pete. So if I am following, the prevailing theory in this thread is that we're his fallback plan but the UM staff isn't having it, and they deliberately told you to put the info out there to see how he would react. Is that about right?

I think this is a good part of it and what didn't make sense to me was the meetings with the school and the alumni ain't if this was some Gayturd plot. I can't see them being that detailed.

I think there's truth to the family being ****ed at what happened to him being enrolled as an EE and they reached out to Banda. I think the kid's family is probably ****ed at UF. I think the kid is all Gayturd and dissed us so much he feels stuck.

What I do like is that if the Gayturds screwed something up with this kid they may have burned a bridge at Southridge.

One could argue Miami did the same with the Ridge. Just saying.

We still don't know exactly what transpired... all we know is that Davis went up to GAYnesville to EE with Gamble and Gamble is in and Davis is back in the 305. What did Richt do to Southridge besides hire Cooney?

Well, we didn't take their WR (his name escapes my mind) commit and we didn't offer Collier. Couple of negative situations.

Sure. Those things never help. We never offered Collier. The WR I think was Rodney Scott. He decommitted in August so there was at least plenty of time for him to go elsewhere. The thing going on with Davis is happening really late.

It's not about "convincing" him. He might not have a choice.

Could he not just stay in high school another semester?
Seems like a choice to me. Go where you want to go, even if it means not being an EE. Or go where you don't want to go within 9 days. idk man I don't want this kid if he isn't "choosing" to come here. All it will do will waste our time and his.

Dingle??? Isn't he from Carol City? Didn't Gibson play games with us? Gamble also had plenty of time to catch on elsewhere.
