"3 yr show cause for former AD". What does that actually translate to in terms of the AD's punishment? Is it probationary? Out of a job for three years? Not really understanding the terminolgy of "Show Cause".

It means he can't Work in College athletics for 3 years.. Like Tressel who got a 5 year show cause.

Pretty much Hurtt and Holcutt are about to get Sanduskyied...

Doesn't seem like this ADs case and ours with Holcutt are even close to similar unless I missed something about Holcutt facilitating the meetings with Shapiro and lying to the NCAA.

Golden has continually said that the NCAA is starting to punish the people responsible and not the programs. Here is another example.
 
Their investigation started in April of last year, can we have a decision now too?

Yea, when we first heard about our allegations the NCAA had already been investigating us for 5 months. That puts us at April of last year as well. Hopefully ours comes out soon so we can put this **** behind us already.

Let's hope you are wrong there because if that many coaches were actually involved to the point of being given the SC then we are in big trouble.

Didn't USC also get hammered because of the magnitude of their violations? (e.g., hundreds of thousands of dollars to Reggie Bush).

Shapiro and Robinson allege violations of that magnitude, but the suspensions we had last year were for improper benefits that in total didn't even equal the value of the shoes in Jordan Jefferson's closet.

The long and short is that recruiting violations that were not known to the university leadership and were not worth much in dollar terms will result in UCF-like sanctions, not USC like sanctions.

2 bowl bans 15 scholarship reductions over 3 years, 5 years probation and 3 year show cause for hurtt and pununzio and 1 year for stoutland (he does coach for bama so he may slide), hill 1 year show cause (coaches for Florida), and haith and other basketball coaches get 2 to 3 year show cause.

Can Louisville get sanctions for hiring hurtt? I really hope so.
 
Their sanctions were a joke. They got LOIC, were on probation during these recent violations, were deemed repeat violators (the reason the death penalty was created) and this is all they got?
