Good approach by Thompson with two strikes. The middle of the infield has been open all game.

When Diaz is your 3rd starter and they have the bullpen they do, they'll win some games this year.

You have to be sound defensively and smart on the bases to play that style though. With no outs and on 2B you simply can't get picked off.

I agree, Diaz was solid today and only allowed a run due to error. Just need these kids to start stepping up offensively. Defense has played really well so far (sans error).
