Marley Cook did ok in garbage time too, which makes it easier to move Mesidor to play more DE.

Cook has quietly been making plays for a few games now. Looking to see if this gets him more reps

Idk if Messidor wanted that move inside but it was awful for him as he’s been irrelevant until today…

It’s a bad wake team no doubt but it was nice to see the Dline wake up that second half

He sacrificed a lot playing DT for us. I respect him for that.

TBH Clark was pretty bad first part of the season and Marley Cook was worse. They've both played a lot better as season has gone on. Mesidor at DT just didn't work. Whenever he got doubled by the C & G he'd get turned around and pushed 5 yards off the ball. He often got removed from the play just from the guard blocking him.

I think part of the Mesidor at DT experiement was because neither him or bain can play the ******* position. So you'd have to choose between Bain and Mesidor at end (Bain wins 100% of the time obv)

Will leave it to the experts but it looked to me today that we we're just in base 4-3 with 2 regular old DEs with their hands in the dirt most of the time. Obviously can't keep 3 linebackers on the field next week vs. Cuse but I think we should continue to do without a pantomining standup DE who drops into the flats a bunch, but that's just me

He played more than just garbage time. Moten, Clark, and cook inside played well and helped the D get going

Isn’t no injury. When you do your research on him that’s who he is. First few games he usually looks great then he disappears

The DE doesn’t have to drop and doesn’t need too. Both messidor and Bain stood up at times

He shoulda been benched the way he had been playing, and if there was any doubt he removed it by messing up on their big run. Nice to see Guidry finally put Mesidor back where he belongs at end and started CJ Clark with Moten subbing in. Amazing what happens when you play guys at their natural, best position - Mesidor at end/Powell at nickel/DPj at outside corner

Moten probably made the biggest difference in the second half. That combined with whoever tf that RB was being injured.

To be fair we’ve had a lot of injuries at DT. Moten, Clark, Cook, Horton etc

I don’t think it was the plan to have him at DT this much but it’s been tough getting any consistency
