Tyler Baron PFF grade

He wasn't "pushed" out but was nudged. Behind the scenes issue that somehow never made public.

The Gators were crowing about Slaughter being a top Center based on PFF. How’d that work out?

But Baron is legit. Once Bain is fully recovered and Mesidor takes more DE snaps were going to be unstoppable.
Question, why do you say "mesidor takes more DE snaps"? I feel like if anything Messidor would be getting those DE snaps now with Bain on the sideline to help spell Barron and Alston. He seems to be working more inside I feel when Bain comes back that will only shallow the DE snap pool even more since Bain/Barron likely eat a ton and if all 3 are on the field I see Messidor being inside with those two on the edge. I think Bain can grow into a more DT roll but right now he is so good at DE I think let him be then next year he can fill more of that Messidor role on 3rd down. Him inside then guys like Lightfoot and McConthy types on the edges.

I saw him out there live. Unsure on snap count but Stats on UM and ESPN say he had 2 tackles and .5 tfl.

Also shocked to see the roster list him at 6'3 280. Seems heavier than what he looks on the field but if true that can explain why he is getting so much DT work.

Baron, Kelly and Roberts all have a good shot at the NFL. Can’t deny the talent, and they are all currently living their college dreams as very productive defensive linemen. I wish them all well, and if Cristobal and Taylor keep recruiting at the high level they have been recruiting, we will see more stories like this and that is a good thing for building a class A program that Cristobal envisions. We recruit, develop, stack and attract talent at a championship (Saban at Alabama) level and our cast-offs are so good, that they also can go elsewhere and produce.

It's my speculation. But I am so far unimpressed by the NC State transfer, I believe the coaches moved Medisor inside as a better complement to Barrow to create more interior pressure. But I think he's better as a 5-tech. And now, with Moten, Horton and Scott, we don't need him inside. As far as DE snaps, I think he's a NFL level DE, so I have no issue with him, Bain, Baron and Alston all sharing the load. Keep our pass rushers fresh.

Guidry is so multiple in what he does that it really doesn't matter. I think he moves guys around like chess pieces just looking for mismatches. Malik Bryant has been used a lot as a stand up rusher as well, and even though he hasn't been getting to the qb, he's been getting pressures and has been strong against the run.

I think Clark #5 has made more plays than mesdior so far this year tbh
