It’s money. This happens all the time in the pro’s. We’ll see how it translates in college. He apparently isn’t much of a leader to begin with, as was said a year ago on this board and more recently by you.

Apples and oranges comparing this to NFL. Real recognizes real and his teammates won’t believe in him after this because of the timing. That’s just my opinion.

I wouldn’t want to play with someone like that. This is very damaging.

This should have never been put out, but anyway:

1) I think it will get worked out. Miami wants him back.
2) If it doesn’t, there is a plan in place that would ease everyone’s pain if completed.

That he would even consider transferring to the point where it was far enough along to be even reported, is seriously f’d up.

HORRIBLE look for UM, Cristbal, Dawson, AND mostly, TVD.

Even if he comes back, not sure this is fixable from a culture/team standpoint

I’m with Hurracanes here tho. You don’t do this now…he had every opportunity to leave in December when a number of teams were clamoring for him to leave…and he got more money from Miami in the process.

He leaves now for money, he’s dead to me and I will wish him the least amount of success in life as humanely possible.

I have to choose my words carefully here, but even if he stays…that bond with teammates is broken.

Yeah, it’s a dirtbag move. Some people do business this way. I’m assuming he thinks we’re at our weakest given the timing and he can leverage that for the most money. It’s a cut throat strategy.

Personally I’d let him walk for a variety of reasons. I do think it hurts the culture. I do think we have to set some boundaries and a precedent that you do this early or there’s no staying. We’re not winning anything this year and can find a game manager at a minimum. And he holds the ball too **** long and is overrated. I’m not convinced he’s back to form.
