The narrative will be that no position group or player is safe even the one that Mario spoke so highly of when he got here and he involved him in the OC search.

Mario brought him OL to block for him, RBs to make him not to throw every play like with Lashlee. At some point u man have to accept man did not play well. This man was a 4th year QB and yall blaming Cristobal who got Herbert drafted first round, whatever tf man believe. Cristobal didnt recruit him

We'll see.

Mario can be as cut throat as he wants but the bottom line is that right now, we don't have a QB1 on the roster and he has a game in 3 or 4 weeks.
 
This isn't Mario's fault. Mario gave him every snap possible, built and bought an O-Line. Made Tyler a part of the O-Coordinator interview process. Basically slobbered the guy. Tyler just bounced because he is a free agent represented by Drew R. This is the new College Football.

Not blaming Mario for TVD's failures. Blaming Mario for not having a backup QB to push and bench him when he was hurt and when he played poorly.

TVD started 10 games this year and played well enough to win 9 of them (only one he lost us was NCST).

Well its not easy to bring in a back up. Jake Garcia was the back up and he portaled out. Its not the same as year before. Bama backups were bums even when Milroe was struggling.

Jake Garcia left and had zero stats recorded at Missouri. Mario probably could have convince him to stay if he wanted to.
Jacurri Brown has plenty of experience last year. Mario could have invested in having a certain style of offense ready for him to play if he needed to.
He could have got a decent portal QB to come in and backup TVD and fight for the starting spot in '24 (Emory Williams wasn't scaring anybody away). As soon as TVD threatened to transfer to Bama he should have had a portal QB in here.
He also could have signed a more college ready QB than Emory last year.

All that falls on Mario and would/could have prevented this.

A TON of offensive coaches will feel like they can do something with him for sure.. Meryz had OCs still believing in him..

I agree with some of that. Specifically TVD flirting with Bama. I was one who didnt care if he left and also wanted us to bring in someone whether he stayed or not. Thats why we are 7-5. No true leader would have tried to leave after spring. U leave after the season and live with your choice, lock in and ball. He was about money. And alot on here were defending that bull at the time

That’s fair. I think he’ll look at the bowl game as a development opportunity for next year and gives Brown a chance to audition for QB1 next year.

Also gives Brown a chance to showcase his talent if he decides to transfer
