I think it's messed up to question the character of a teenage kid trying to make a huge life
Stfu. He left us high and dry. Take your holier then thou shtick and stick it. He coulda warned us he was flipping and DIDNT. He is a low character POS and I hope he disappears.
Utter nonsense-Patrick Peterson didn't work out. I bet LSU was really disappointed that he flipped to them.

I think all the crying needs to stop. You want to be mad at somebody...be mad at the adults at UM for not putting forward an attractive enough product to land all the kids you want to get

Nobody was *****ing or questioning the character of Byrd when he dropped UF (his original commit) and switched to us.
Nobody was questioning the character of players we've had through the years make a switch on signing day th at favored us. We all celebrated the pick up and there weren't mangina posts like this one.
Byrd went on a trip late to UT and made his decision at some point between then and today. He let our staff know who knows when, it could've been a week ago as they can't comment on recruits. Mangina's though assume he left the staff hanging out at the fax machine waiting for his signature and I'd bet that wasn't the case. Mangina on though.

Ok... Byrdshyt decommitted from UF and committed to us long before signing day. This was a premeditated set-up leaving us in a tenuous position the night before NSD.
We have been on both sides of NSD decisions. Richards chose us over Bama and Southall chose Texas over us. No one is fuming about those types of situations.
I cannot recall a situation where a program's highest targeted recruit was committed to someone else so openly and publicly and then just stiffed them at the 11th hour with no notice or courtesy of a decommitted. And yes, like the Volunqueers, I'd be happy to have a stud player come our way but I wouldn't think the way it was handled, if done the way this was done was fine, let alone defend his actions like these trolls on here and on their board have.

I think Coach Hartley's since-deleted initial reaction is indicative of the state of shock to our staff. I think if they had prior knowledge, we would have seen more visible efforts to pull in cornerbacks over the past month and Hartley wouldn't have tweeted that. We know that he had a relationship with Shaq Q and Shaq didn't know- that's per Shaq's Dad.Nobody was *****ing or questioning the character of Byrd when he dropped UF (his original commit) and switched to us.

There are lots of assumptions in your post. You don't know when he informed the staff of anything.
As for not recalling, you should study our history a bit more and then get back to me. His visit rating of an 8 of 10 doesn't suggest that he was all that enamored when he left that weekend.
