If Miami had played Bama without Tua last year and won, I don't think we'd be saying it was less of a win. Nor would most college football fans care. Why? Because Bama has 5 stars stacked on 5 stars. So does Clemson. If Lawrence and Etienne don't play, Clemson will have elite, national title quality players take their place. May turn out to be even better. In no way does this mean Clemson is less than full strength. The advantage is that new players might be a bit more inexperienced, which would give Miami a small edge. I'll take that.

Also jockstrap when I say irrational brash of confidence I’m not talking about the desire to root for a canes win or bleeding orange and green. I’m talking about this newfound confidence, when last December y’all was calling for Manny to be fired. I’m trusting manny as a head coach in recruiting but I still have yet to see how he’ll respond on the field in year two. When I say bring me Clemson I say that as a fan wanting my team to play Clemson and beat Clemson while still being realistic in knowing that may or may not happen. When y’all say bring me Clemson y’all say it with y’all chest out but be the first ones to bash this team and staff if we go down 20 points at the half. That sht hypocritical.

Desperation got people starving for bullshat victories, when nothing was fake about our dominance. I still wanted to see how that UM-Oklahoma game would've turned out JEROME BROWN didn't break troy aikman's leg. Had Oklahoma kept aikman, him and keith jackson would've made more noise, aikman was the first option qb I ever seen that was a real qb. We got a lot of watered down UM fans who really don't understand why they root for UM. That dominant mindset didn't start in Coral Gables, and coach banda is one if the smart ones who actually understands that fact, which is why he's certified!

This living-in-fear **** is about as anti-Miami as it gets. I'm not making a new thread for it but Clemson is beatable. How did LSU do it?

~ Convert 3rd downs more than they do.
~ Complete the pass. Accuracy and minimal drops.
~ Besides getting a ground game going to open up the secondary, receivers who can make additional yards-after-contact played a part in those 628 total yards.

By virtue of not having Enos and by having an actual QB running the plays, every point should be taken care of. I am half-expecting Defenses to get gassed from having to run against Lashlee's system. A welcomed changed since it seems were always the ones getting worked on D. There are other factors but this notion that this is a game we should dread is ridiculous. They can be taken care of--just have to come with a plan and do the job.

We can only control ourselves. If Clemson ends up at half strength because players opt out, that's on them. All we can do is win. That's all that matters.

People getting real mad at the possibility of a 20 year old kid sitting out because he wants to make his millions in the draft injury free- and even more mad because some of us canes fans wouldn’t mind playing his team without him. You keep talking all this **** "y'all talk" those other people talk for them, I speak for me. The same question I had when coach diaz 1st took the job is "can he lead men", soon after he coming up with this "The New Miami" bullshat to try and justify recruiting and naming half hearted, non-championship minded players as starters. If you saw the look on coach diaz's face during the pregame activities of the Lsu game, he looked out of place.

Coach diaz is primarily benefitting in recruiting for these 4 main reasons, AHMAUD ARBERY, GEORGE FLOYD, corona and ed reed, primarily nothing to do with him. Unless he changes his soft *** mindset, he won't be here long either, that hoe *** defensive game plan he called against Clemson in that ACC championship game is all you need to know about coach diaz, he has a lot of growing up to do, and something's he'll never have cause it's just not in em. But he's from Miami, like you, he has a chance to start wringing out his weaknesses, but he better hurry up quick!
