Tre Mckitty to FSU

Miami is under the impression right now that Tre McKitty will be headed to FSU with Josh Kaindoh

He hasn't made his final decision but if that's from Miami side then I'd expect FSU feels confident.

Not about money. Miami vs FSU is about who is beating who majority of the time. We need to be winning on the field against them to win a recruiting battle

Didn't we just keep Donaldson from going to FSU. Could've sworn that was a head-to-head.

Missed the "majority of the time" part of my post I see

Doesn't matter, FSU has ALWAYS out recruited us, save a few years...there is a reason for that, and it isn't because they are TE University.

I love all the win and they will come stuff...just not the entire story. There is also a reason Alabama keeps stacking talent at positions where any reasonable person knows they will likely have to transfer if they don't win the job quick....

Hope Carter comes low across the middle & snaps his legs in half then as he's crawling in pain they tell him he coulda been with them.

FSU has beaten UM in the recruiting battles the majority of the time and one of the primary factors for their SEVEN game winning streak against us. They have better talent!! More importantly, they get difference makers. Five and Four star studs, while we get Three and Four star players for the most part...adds up in the 4th quarter.

Yes it's because they don't have to study very hard and the girls are flat out amazing.

And yet we should have beat them the last three years if it wasnt for coaching

I remember the coup in getting five star O'Leary. We had to settle for two star project Walford. Both were good college tight ends but Walford has killed it in the pro's and O'Leary? Is he on a roster?

Killing it is certainly pushing it.... If you're comparing him to O'Leary then yes I'd agree.

And to further add, their record is barely better than ours this season (might end up being exactly the same).

Seems like they are getting less and less South Florida ballers as we go forward. I can live with that.

Walford was a priority. It wasn't settling. Walford came out in 2010. RS got his commitment the summer before his senior year. Outside of him no one knew about him. Walford was made a priority. Meanwhile Oleary was our priority for 2011 but he opted for FSU. Both had great careers but Walford was better due to his athleticism.

Our TE's without question have fared better than fsu's, but fsu's QB can ball plus he's got that fire that kids gravitate to. When are people here going to realize that these TE's and WR's just aren't feeling Kaaya, not Miami. Serious question, knowing what you know now, who would you want behind center at The U, The Frenchman or Kaaya? Kaaya's lack of athleticism and inability to extend plays leaves a "lot" of plays on the field. He is not a positive when recruiting receivers.

That's basically the history of F$U vs. Miami recruiting right there.

O'Leary is on the Bills, IIRC. Saying Walford is "killing it" is a bit of stretch, but between the two there is no doubt who is the better TE, so yeah, I agree.

They were also early on Walford which helped enormously. That is something we are going to have to get back to and it appears Richt is. We need to lockup kids before they emerge as "top national prospects" their handlers and cousins can market to the bagmen.
