Bama & UGA specifically only use the portal for a handful of truly elites then keep it moving. The key will always be high school recruiting.

Not to worry…WR’s grow on trees in S. Fla or so I’ve heard for as long as I can remember.

Only problem is you have outside pickers coming in and getting the really great fruit.

Always is where the jury is still out. The portal and NIL is a relatively new world. We’ll see how teams use it. Right now, Georgia and Alabama can pretty much pick who the want from each bucket…

Want an elite CB in high school, get him. Need an elite WR from the portal, get one…

TCU played for the natty. Sure the game got ugly. But other teams can get better quickly by using both sources of talent acquisition. Being stuck in one bucket, may prove foolish…

I think that makes sense. My true concern is Mario being too tied to HS right now and not attacking the portal faster to build a faster turnaround, which would then lead to a better product and in theory hasten the return to consistent high level high school recruiting…
