The transfer portal has been good to us but championship teams are getting the best players from the portal. If only we could have gotten a Henry To'to, he would've done magic for our defense and been a superstar. Instead he goes to Bama to supplement a defense that didn't need him to be successful this year. Smh
 
We were out in front on the portal, and In some regards NIL, but once the power programs "caught up" it was just like recruiting. You fall in line.

this isnt true.

Im willing to bet we have done better in the portal than any of the championship teams since most of them dont have to go portal diving too much

I'd say this is true overall, with the exception of this season (To'to and Williams > Rambo and Stevenson, although without the latter, we don't sniff five wins this season).

Whether we were going to land him or not is not really what I’m arguing. Apparently bags were at play but until that point, he and ringo loved us but manny dragged his feet in favor of local guys and so they lost interest and went elsewhere. That’s the story, anyhow.
