Fernando wasn’t a high value kid though. I don’t think people understand that. He wasn’t like Vladdy‘s son where scouts were drooling over him. He earned his rep once he hit the minor league circuit. He had to do that to live.

Yeah, I couldn’t access the link Ghandi posted above, so I’m still on hearsay details. But what you say makes a lot of sense, and perhaps @Ghandi can give us some added info. He’s right tho, kids see the $$$ signs and if not careful, they could be getting into unpleasant circumstances.
