We’re not freaking out about not taking him, at least the sane people. We’re just trying to put guys on the radar that we can try to poach to make the roster better. In fact this is the exact type of kid that the Portal is made for from a Miami perspective…go prove it elsewhere and then come in and ball if we can tempt him out of there.

Illinois DC (Walters) is the leading candidate for Colorado. He was a multi year starter and team captain there.

He leaves Lucas might be in play

well to be fair most of the “office guys” werent hired until March/April 2022 and this kid signed in December 2021.

Also if kids don’t come out to camps, 7on7‘s, OL/DL, unofficial visits, etc it is pretty hard to recruit. Most coaches want to see a kid in person to get a feel.

With the portal and NIlL, Miami doesn’t need to sign diamond in the rough out of HS anymore. Miami should let kids like this sign elsewhere and then if they show out then ”recruit” them home. This kid, the RB at WV, etc

Is he really? Would make little to no sense for them to hire a first time HC, unless its an offensive guy like Bieniemy. And I think it’s even too big of a job for him. It can’t be overstated how massive of a rebuild that job is. Smart money would be Bronco.

You’re right it should go to coach like Bronco or Bryan Harsin or Chris Peterson (if they could get him) but Colorado is place that is living in past and former HC Bill McCartney has a lot of pull there. Supposedly he is backing Walters.

seriously i don't know what that dude is talking about. DL is something you worry about every year and you keep brining them in. Fact is, if we took all those transfers and they are doing most of the playing, guys like Haye, Ishamel, Thomas Davis could consider leaving. Along with Moultrie being old and someone else thinking they are ready. You keep gonig at this position every year.

What are we supposed to do about this? We can't recruit more 3 star guys with offers from Tulane. We can't make a living off of that. Cause its easy to pick out the one kid rated like this 2 years later and gripe for no reason but ignore the 25 other that go somewhere and end up doing absolutely nothing. We need more high end 4-5 stars........the top 4 teams didn't get there trying to match Tulane.

We have too many slot guys. We need outside guys.

I’m wait and see unless they want to make him a RB.

Is he a legit 4.3 guy? If so I think you have to take a shot even if they feel good about some of the guys still on the board. **** if he is 4.3 give me One thru Six as well

UF is desperate at DT and would likely give this kid anything to transfer there. Hope he stays at TAMU lol or goes to OU
