Don’t think it works that way. As of today, at least as I understand it, you don’t get an IC back if a guy goes into the portal.

Hopefully both of those caps are increased for 2021 temporarily to accommodate transfers due to the impact of Covid on rosters, and slowly wound back down to normal over 2022 and 2023.

Somehow they have to increase. The NCAA is inviting everyone back as seniors, granting everyone a 5th yr and welcoming a new class. Something needs to give somewhere. But remember it is the NCAA
