Trajan Bandy is ****ed

Posting your 4.5 40 time when you are 5'9" 185lbs to refute the small and slow claims isn't exactly refuting those claims.
nobody said honey badger was slow when he ran the same time. Joe Haden ran in the 4.6s in the 40 and was an undersized cb. And Haden made pro bowls. Talent wise I don’t think bandy is a nfl cb but it ain’t because his 40

Yeah but I think a few things can be mutually exclusive here. I am all for calling a spade a spade and yes regardless of what Zo has said or done, if Bandy was good enough a team would take a flyer on him. Yes it sucks for Zo to tell someone he is slow and small but this is also Zo's job.

Where I have the potential problem is it seems like Bandy was screwed by an agent (shocker) and likely was given some advance or a gift or something the agent expected back. I have heard wilddddd stories from personal friends where an agent "buys" a luxury gift for the player, then when the player looks at his cost breakdown the gift is included as a cost on top of the agent's cut. That is dirty pool.

It also seems like perhaps Zo told Bandy a half truth or maybe pacified him (or completely possible he told Bandy the truth and Bandy only took what he wanted to hear) but after so many years you dont still reach out to this dude unless he hinted or told you that you would get an opportunity or a try out. Then to tell him that he needs to go raise his brothers and that he is doing a poor job of it, like come on man, be bigger than that. NO 25-28 year old should be forced to take care of their siblings and he clearly is due to some family issue why take a shot at a kid trying to get to the league to provide for the family which I also believe was the reason he left early. Sad all the way around.

However, I seem to recall Bandy bleeding orange and green. Begging for an offer when he was committed to West Virginia I believe then flipped to us, I seem to recall him holding some signed gear he got as a kid in his commitment then gave us one of the top 5 moments in Canes history for the last 20 years. Sucks it didnt workout and bad look to air laundry on the internet but I wouldnt be quick to write him off as completely unfounded.

I'm shocked at how many people are ignoring the obvious here. Yeah, he didn't make the league and probably isn't good enough. But he definitely got screwed over as well and people are just glossing over it and saying "tough luck, suck it up, you're short and slow (which a 4.5 literally isn't slow). 2 things can be right at once...he could not have enough talent for the NFL and also expose someone (initially not Zo) that screwed more than just Bandy in a Cane uniform. But yeah, he's bitter and just randomly wanting to take shots at Zo for obviously no reason despite posting his evidence.

He sought out feedback from Malki because he and his family needed money. Malki probably bended the truth a little and told him he could get drafted, probably hang around at least a practice squad, and get paid something to support his family.

Not sure what Zo has to do with anything. Wasn't here when Bandy was here. Gave him workout opportunities in NE only because he's a former Cane and from Columbus. What he did with that? Obviously he didn't make the squad. Maybe he could just say nothing to other teams asking but he's not putting his rep on the line for a kid not good enough. Don't blame him.

He screwed himself more than anything. Agents will do this to anyone but you have to be a certain level of stupid or desperate to let it happen. Rumph and Baez begged him not to go pro and warned him to the point he thought they were trying to play him for their benefit.

Some kids have a hard time hanging it up and accepting the end and most of the time they have no other skills to fall back on.

Acting out and lashing out like this for that reason.
Was just coming to say that this is sad because it really is hard for guys to give up the dream. For some people it happens sooner than others. I knew in high school the league wasn't in my future lol. But when you've dedicated your whole life to football and for it to not be what you do anymore, it can be a rough transition as we see.

I'm missing where Zo screwed him over?

Y’all love to comment without comprehension. Now that’s prime cis. Did you miss the part where I clearly said talent wise bandy isn’t a nfl cb? But you jump right In hear talking about comparing. I’m comparing 40 times. And just showing it wasn’t a 40 that kept him out the league

Joe Haden ran a 4.52 at 10lbs heavier and 2 inches taller and was a first team All-American.
Honey Badger ran a 4.5 flat, but played safety and was a Heisman Trophy Finalist.

Bandy isn't in the NFL for a lot of reasons, one of which is because he is small and slow.

Again, 2 things can be right. I would've loved if Bandy stayed at Miami...but another year wasn't gonna make him faster or taller, just like another year wasn't gonna help Joe Yearby draft stock. If the talent was there for Rumph to develop, why didn't the potential show when Bandy went to the multiple camps? So again, if Bandy made a bad decision to leave, it doesn't excuse malpractice or wrong doing on the end of whatever agent he hired.

Leaving early and choosing a bad agent are signs of poor decision making.

Him staying another year most definitely could have helped improve his stock by putting out more and better film. He was never going to be a top pick but it certainly could have helped more than what he got.
