Commit to the school, not the staff. If he wants to come to the U, then he'll come. He said it himself, Miami's been recruiting him since he was in the 8th grade. He's probably using this as an excuse when he commits elsewhere. Especially with the comments that he wants to play ball with T. Exactly. The recruits used to want to leave Miami before Lou Saban and Howard Schnellenberger convinced them not to. If those coaches had the attitude that some of our excuse making fans have, then UM would be in the Sun Belt conference right now playing at FIU's level.

The thing is UM is held to an unrealistic high expectation down here by kids, fans, local coaches, handlers, Pete, etc. Other schools can come cherry pick a couple kids they want, ignore the boarderline kids and everything is just fine. We need to recruit them all to a certain extent. It's a blessing and a curse really. Golden and staff has probably talked to this kid 200% more than any other program but that isn't reported.

It doesn't matter who the coach is @ UM they are going to continually struggle with this IMO. It's gotten worse in the last five years. The SFL recruiting community is a cesspool. Every year dozens of people are going to get butt hurt. "We didn't recruit this kid hard enough, didn't offer this kid, we aren't paying, shouldn't have offered this kid", the list goes on and on.

Golden is under a microscope because the on field product is sub par. If the on field product improves, a lot of this stuff will go away. Until then, this stuff will creep up and into the media.

All I said was in the past month it was a 2 team race, then UM in his top 4 and now we havent hit him up in a while which can mean they havent hit him up the way they did before or in the past couple weeks but all we have is one side and thats now gospel. Theres a year to recruit this kid and we don't know what the truth is, we never met the kid and dont know how often he talks to UM or any other school so why is there arguments and *****ing?
