Torrance Gibson

I love how everyone wanta to bash the kid for following his dream. Maybe he will never make it to the NFL but i hope he does and as a QB. Something to admire about a kid not taking no for an answer. Hes not getting paid so why not play the position you love. If not why play. Life isnt always about the money. Shoestring was an idol to me cuz everyone always wrote him off but he did his thing at Michigan and then when it came money time he did what he had to do. If the kid bashed Miami then **** him but still chase them dreams young fella. Also like he said f**k off urban and just straight transfered.

Agree, don't see why anyone bashing that kid for pursuing his dreams.at the end of the day he got to play football not his critics

More from the "we need to love everyone even if they **** on UM" crew.

Fcking pathetic self-loathing UM fans want to suck off the local traitors and scumbags. You guys love Brewster too? He's just doing his job. Leave him alone.
Lol i said if he bashed miami then **** him or did i not? Fact is he wanted to play QB. We didnt offer that till January after he was sealed to OSU. bash golden for that but he would never be playing Qb here so.

Man **** that ****. I have no problem with a kid going elsewhere that's on him but when you leave be humble and don't talk **** about UM for no reason like you're going to be a beast in college. Fact is if he came here at the worst he's a starting wr who's getting hype for the NFL but he wanted out and he hasn't done **** since. That's karma I don't feel bad for him at all

Another cumbag South Florida front-running grifter who didn't want to hear the truth and grabbed the bag. So he bought Urb's lies. Funny **** was when Urb moved that big dope to WR two minutes after he signed his NLOI.

Friend of mines who knew one of his HS coaches told me when Gibson was being recruited that he didn't stand a chance away from home because he didn't have any structure or support system. Looks like he was dead *** right.

yep, it's always some local dolt that falls for the recruiting spiel and then gets buried in the depth chart at another position.

Which brings me back to Jeudy - it's laughable that his advocates cited the support and relationships he has in tuscaloosa. If he missteps, he'll be dropped like dead weight.

He's obviously still getting bad advice b/c he's dead set on being a QB. Great that he thinks that but if he is thinking the next level, he better start thinking changing positions soon.

I agree that we should welcome S FL kids who leave for OOS programs and then want to transfer back, but the key caveat is that AS LONG AS THEY ARE RESPECTFUL OF OUR PROGRAM

I won't forget the way this kid acted during recruitment, even his little hat trick was disgusting, no way I would offer him anything here

When did he talk bad about the U?

After his announcement he did an interview with Jim Berry from Channel 4 News saying that the U is dead. Literally that was his quote and for that **** him he's on his own a top program doesn't let it be OK for a kid to not only say no to you but clown you on national TV in the process to be let on the team after he failed at his original school

This guy has incredibly bright future, you all sleep.

Enterprise rent a car will be getting a good one.

I agree with this only if the kid was in college and did something like the Teddy BridgwAter throatslash or upside down U etc.. but the kid was in high school. In addition,he was right and calling it how it was. The U that we know has been dead for over 10 yrs. Urban sold him on playing for a top 5 contentender rather than playing for a Folden/Dorito led- ACC bottom dweller. Hard to blame the kid.

A smarter option would be to give him a chance by bringing him in and seeing if he can prove that he is worthy of the U on his helmet.

Good thing we all made the right decision at his age so we can all join hands in agreement that he made a wrong one.

OSU was coming off a NC and we were stuck with Golden.

They have one of the best coaches in the country, we had Golden.

They have pretty much every bell and whistle with fan support galore. We had empty stadiums and are still playing catchup to conference foes, let alone one of college football's premiere destinations.

He asked for a shot at QB and whether or not he got much of one, Meyer was smart enough to sell him on the dream at playing his preferred position. Golden and company has their thumbs up their asses as they typically did, waiting until the last possible moment to make a go at him.

We saw people talking trash about Golden, how he was one of the worst coaches in the country, he was all but out the door, and we wouldn't even send a kid of our own here.

Smart, real smart people. He took his shot, it didn't work out, and some are trying to revise history while gleefully enjoying what's been a tough road for him. There's some real solid examples of humanity here. Not caring, that's one thing, but openly cheery about his downfall....yup, what outstanding persons we have here.

Let's forget about what happened last year, what he said, etc.

Still don't want him. Not a good kid. Stories about him at Heritage were crazy.

He said something while at OSU? What stories?

Bring him in to compete. Let the chips fall where they may.

He may have said what he said a few years back because he thought the grass was greener on the other side. Let him realize thats not the case, go try to chase his dream of playing QB to realize that maybe he has a better shot to make money at the next level at WR and possibly bring him in next year.

TBH look at Terrelle Pryor, sure different people, but they are built the same and TG ran a 4.5 in HS. Wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him next year. What could it honestly hurt?

He can pack his **** and go to bama then...who cares

I'd promise him the starting QB job then switch him to WR as soon as finished signing his name in crayon on the NLOI.

another fruit cake who didn't wanna rep. Hope he snaps his knee & has a long career as wal-mart greeter.
