Top 5 class

Miami can win the ACC every year with classes in those ranges. Top 5 classes these days are absurd and you need like 4 5-stars to be in the top 5. Mario should have top 10 or so classes every year. No excuse not to be in the ACC championship games most years.
Your expectations are different than mines but i hear u

trending heavily. I dont know if we will finish top 5, but what I am enjoying is Mario's recruitinf strategy. Just like with the coaching staff it seems like it took a while for him to build momentum because he was laying the groundwork. Now we are about to see a run of top 247 guys commit to the program and unlike past regimes, there are high quality Plan B and C kids that are constantly recruited.

If Miami has a 9-10 win season this year I can see us easily landing a top 7-10 class.
Great, I’d like to us get the talented guys we’d usually miss on, get those high to mid 4 stars we usually lose and build momentum for the top ones

Not to be a star ***** (even though I am one) and overly nerdy (also true) but we have too many 3 stars committed to end up top 5 right. The last 5 years, top 5 teams averaged 5 3star players and all had at least 3 5* players. We will need to get some bumps and land mostly top 150 guys from here on out.
dude it's about scouting and getting eyes on these kids to assess talent. Staff doing a great job recruiting your 5*, but they harder to come by for a "resurgent" program like The U. Although I would love to see some 5* DL/OL we have to understand we still recruiting at a disadvantage against the top teams. We recruiting well we just need some dominoes to fall.

We paid 8.5 million per for an ace recruiter and staff. We should expect top 10 classes. Texas has won 5, 7, and 8 games the last 3 years yet signed the 5th, 15th, and 8th ranked class. They call them Texas 8&4 for a reason yet have 1, 8, 6. We need to get there.

How so? The recruiting or winning the coastal?

He wants to win it all, not just the Coastal or ACC. The argument is we need Top 5 talent to be in the playoffs every year, and not just show up (e.g., like ND) but actually win a few games.

While I agree with that, I think a very good chunk of the front runner recruits, especially the 5 stars, want to see wins racking up before they come to Miami, so we it will be next to impossible for us to be a Top 5 recruiting class for at least the next couple of years.

Mario's the best. But I doubt a kid like Alex Leatherwood or Pat Surtain would have come here even with Mario as HC this class. After a 10+ W season or two, that changes.

We've only landed more than 4 Top 100 players 1 time in the last 14 years. That 2018 when wwe had 6.

For me - landing 5-8 Top 100 guys, even if we don't finish Top 5 will be a good sign. Our classes need to trend towards being more top heavy.
We almost match that last cycle with 70, 90, 102 and 108 all players who we had no chance with before Mario came in.

I think you need minimum 2 Top 5 classes to seriously compete for the playoffs, 3 ideal 4, you cooking. And if u get 2 Top 5, the other 2 have to be top 8 or so. U can plug the gaps with the portal

I be asking people why these things only apply to us, also. They are in a conference that's worse than ours and no team has won a playoff game from it.

Definitely - flipping Skinner from Bama & getting Citizen & Moss late in the game without even having a full staff - you gotta be excited about that.

We somehow beat Texas A&M - last year 7-5 - we'll pick up a couple more recruits that will See The Light.

And . . . win the games we're supposed to, and manage to give Clempsen a rough way of it at THEIR stadium.

Some may laugh at ATM, but we haven't had coaches that amounted to jack **** for so long - we're gun shy for even hoping such a thing possible.

And the very thought of jumping Jimbo . . . make Willy tingle.

(During warm-ups, we GOTTA play "I WANT CANDY." Jimbo will crap his little green apples! PsyWar)
